Mmmm thanks for your article which describes so well the generous and gourmand nature of St Amour, that it makes me want to open a bottle right now!

Ha, cute intro - I'd also add that sometimes a great wine doesn't know itself when it's so young, though it is so intense and complex that, with proper care, it finally opens to let you peer into its soul. Whereas those braggart young wines often fade with any serious time in the bottle.

I'm curious about Poplar Grove. I'll try to check them out when I'm in the OK in a couple weeks.

Debbie, this is such a celebratory blog -- I savor how you go places, and just get in to things, exploring and relishing all the instances of your experience [. Having just been back up to Mark Anthony, the third time in three weeks (and we're happy to report that Hell's Gate, Sonora Ranch and Stanley Park are all up, after our work on the brands!) We're excited about new directions, new dimensions. Like you -- that sense and love of exploration and life's adventures are part of LOVE, BEING and LEAPING into the experience of celebrating being alive. warmest | tim girvin | the pike place market [seattle]

Hey Shea! Thanks for leaving a comment!
It was certainly fun to do a "vacation slideshow" style of blog post; however, next time I think I'll have to type my thoughts outside of the images. The tiny caption text size is blinding!
Ahh, how right you are that Pintia is a Toro DO wine. Sorry. In my enthusiasm I hurriedly typed out the wrong wine and didn't think to double check. You are going to balk when I tell you I got it mixed up with Alion!
Did you try Lucien Crochet here in BC? Or elsewhere?
Cheers! Debbie

I really enjoyed this format of pictures with captions to tell a story. It could be your trademark style - I'd love to see more. Oh and FYI Pintia is from Toro not Ribera del Duero. Also Crochet is a leading producer - generally excellent.

Sounds and looks delicious! What a fantastic concept. "Underground" and "Supper Club" are words that become so tempting when put together.
